Bognor did have an outdoor pool behind the old reception building which was also demolished but it was filled in in order to make room for the foundations for the new ocean hotel there was speculation that they were supposed to be getting a new one on the car park just behind splash but so far that has not come to anything
Hope this helps
its a shame if they dont as this prevents me going there. i know this sounds silly but my boys love going in the outside pool when we get some sun hahah and i think thats why skeggy is are fav, as there outside pool is big and has a bar and BQ area. but one day im gonna try bognor but people put me off saying its more nan and grandad resort taking grankids on holiday. so one day im gonna see for meself and perhaps its just as good. are there go karts there free as i was told and the kids bouncy castles

As far as I know the skeggy funpool is now the ONLY original 1980s Butlins outdoor funpool still in use!
The Minehead one is nowhere near as good and is, as you say, only for little kids to paddle in really. It is sort of original in a way because it has been there since 1968, just 6 years after the camp opened. It used to be the ornamental pond and then later became the kiddies yacht pond in 1970. In 1983 or thereabouts it was apparently rebuilt on the same site into the shape it is now, so there's been a pool there of some sort for a long time it just didn't used to be for swimming in! Skeggys funpool is certainly a whole lot bigger and better though.
The nearest thing Bognor has now to an outdoor pool is an outdoor jaccuzi as part of the Ocean Hotel spa. Of course, this is not free and it's only a small jaccuzi not a pool.

Also there are the "Skyline Fountains".
I know this is not a pool but its the only kind or free outdoor water fun!!!

In at least one way Hafen Y Mor is even better than any of the camps that are now still Butlins, because it still has the huge boating lake with canoes and pedalos on it. No current Butlins has that unfortunately (although I can see no reason why Skeggy and Minehead couldn't both still use their lakes in this way).
Anyway, you'll enjoy it I'm quite sure of that.

No, the go karts are not free at Bognor - well at least the original ones aren't. They have now also introduced a kiddies driving track in addition to the go karts but it wasn't in use when I went on an adult weekender so I don't know if it was chargeable (though I suspect so)!

Yes but it still won't be anywhere near as big as the one at Pwllheli. It also won't have canoes or pedalos on it, just the bumper boats. Actually I love the bumper boats myself, but I'd still rather have FREE canoes / pedalos to paid bumper boats anyday.

i think you do have to pay for the kiddies go-karts where as it used to be everything at butlins was free theres not much left that you dont have to pay for
