Hi, i was wondering if anyone remembers my dad Derek Tew who worked as a redcoat at Barry Butlins. There is a picture of him in the Barry 'assorted images' section on this site (he is front left.) Sadly he passed away 4 years ago at the age of 64, but he always had plenty of stories about his time at Butlins. Does anyone (Staff or guest) remember him? If so I would love to hear from you.

Its Christmas you may just visit this site, I know its 2 years since you were last on and 4 years since you wrote this about your Dad. I was a Redcoat at Barry 1969, on the same photo as your Dad, must have known him. I have tried your e-male address, not working. Have put Looking for an Angel on this site, no one has come back with any memories of you (they only rember the bad ones).

Hi, back on again after six months, due to wifes accident, you women will fall over wont you. I lost a stone and a half, and really suffered, anyway, Im on the same photo as your Dad in the middle of the photo surrounded by young ladies of course. How many in from the left was your Father? Further along where Dave and Tina Simpson Entertainments Manager and Hostess at Barry Island in 1969. We are staying near Barry at the moment, leaving a week this Sunday, and see Dave and Tina who still live in Barry, every other day Im sure they would remember your Father.
