Butlins - Tv appearence?

I just happened to be searching a popular internet forum for the word Butlins, and the following thread came up.

Notice the post part way down regarding a dereleict Butlins holiday camp:

Does anybody knbow what resort this was? And when it wsd filmed?

OK, if it was filmed at Butlins or ex-Butlins, it had to be an operating camp as it say it was shown early 1990's, Clacton and Filey demolished, Barry and Mosney open, and remaining Butlins open.

The chances are that it wasn't even filmed at a Butlins camp but a camp with chalets and a few main buildings.

In one place however, it says the show went out in 1999. If that was the first showing, Barry Island would have been a possible filming opportunity, but it would have had to have been filmed over a year in advance as the chalets were demolished Spring 1998.

Of course, they could have just paid to hire out a section of a Butlins camp.

I remember watching this series. It was originally shown in 1999 and seemed very new at the time so presumably it had been filmed within a year before. Strangely enough, one of the first things I thought about when I found this site the other day was this series.

I can't remember a great deal about the holiday camp location other than that I'm fairly sure part of it was in an indoor pool complex. It was all overgrown and seemed to be in countryside but there was possibly a coastline nearby. Not much use I'm sure!

I've just googled around a bit and discovered that it was apparently filmed in Prestatyn Holiday Camp according to this page:
