Camping at Golden Sands, Skegness

has anyone ever been there and done camping ina tent? i am thinking of trying it next year and any thought's on it be them + or - will be greatfully recieved.

Ive camped at Golden Sands before. Its ok but couldnt really find anything to rave about! daytime/night time entertainment was ok, but again not that spectacular! id prefer to go to Butlins for a week!

Well yes i would but it's a damn sight cheaper to go camping and it'll be fun i guess, kids have never been camping b4

Its alright! Just i found the things to do for littles ones there alittle bit boring (i supose 3 year olds are hard to please) the Rory The Tiger was only out for abit each night and we only managed to get one picture of my brother with Rory which turned out to be rubbish, as rory jumped up in the air so we couldnt see his head! It depends on choldren and what there into really. xxx

It's not as if we will be restricted to stay on site, we have a car and nex year my boys will be 10 & 6 too, and they enjoy going to the clubs at nighttime, dancing and what have you..lol From what i have re3ad it seems more equipped than a site in Weymouth i went to 2 years ago.

Thats ok then, as i spent alot of time in Mablethorpe and Skegness. The Tiger Club in the Falcon is ok at night for discos and stuff, and thats where Rory is! Also there is the Gallion which i can mainly remember being bingo where under 18's couldnt go in, but it did have some ok entertainment later on in the night. The campsite is quite a walk away from the main Haven, but our tent was quite far back on the pitch! Hope this information is helping and if you decide to go, hope you have a good time. xx

At least it should be fairly quiet then, if the main camp is set far back....well should be...I ain't been camping for like 17 years !!!!!
