It must be about 20 years since I was there and it was a Ladbroke site at the time. It's about 20 miles from Gt Yarmouth (although it maybe less, it was a long time ago) and is situated right on the beach. Other than that any information I have will be totally outdated

I worked there doing cabaret a couple of years ago and i used to do seashore & casiter on the same day took me about 15 mins between the 2

i have been to Caister Beach holiday park which is NOT haven, but is right next door. (it might have been part of the haven caister that you are talking about a while ago but they might have sold off part of the land to this place next door called Caister Beach Holiday Park) Caister Beach Holiday Park is (in itself,) not that great. but Caister Haven, (which we went in to have a look at) is not actually very good in the way that it is sooooooo massive... to be honest with you you are much better off going to the haven park called Wild Duck which is 3 miles from Great Yarmouth and the seafront. it is much smaller and therefore much less crowded. A problem i often find with Haven parks is when you go to watch the entertainment in the evening, you can very rarely find a seat. So you either spend the evening standing up until 11 o clock (or so), or you have to get there at around 5:30pm to 6:00pm and sit through the bingo (which is EXTREMLY BORING until around about 7:00pm. When you have small kids this can be a particularly LARGE problem because they need feeding, bathing and they are not going to want to sit through an hour and half of bingo. Caister is an extremly large holiday park which (i think) has two (2) SHOWBARS... but t is SO big that not even 2 showbars can cater for the large amount of caravens they keep on the site. THE BIG PROBLEM WITH BOURNE LEISURE IS THEY THINK THINGS LIKE "LETS PUT 10,000 CARAVANS ON CAISTER AND ONLY HAVE 2 SHOWBARS WITH 1,000 SEATS IN EACH ONE, ITS CHEAPER TO RUN THAT WAY AND WE MAKE MORE OF A PROFIT." Sorry guys but this is how it is...

like i said before you are much better going to Wild Duck. You will still have the same/similar problem with the seating arrangements in the ShowBar, but you will have a better holiday with regards to everything else. I have been to Wild Duck 4 times now and intend to go back there. We dont go there every year, but we may well do if they would sort out the bad seating and the general overcrowding. ahough with regards to overcrowding, Wild Duck is actually not as bad as others. Probably the worst one for overcrowding would be SEAVIEW.... DO NOT GO THERE.... LOL... YOU WILL HAVE TROUBLE PARKING YOUR CAR BETWEEN THE CARAVANS!!!!!!!!!!! ITS SO CRAMMED UP... BOURNE LEISURE HAVE RUINED SEAVIEW. IT NEVER USED TO BE AS CRAMPED UP AS IT IS NOW!!! THERES ABOUT 1,000 CARAVANS IN THE SPACE OF ABOUT A QUARTER OF A MILE... NO JOKE!!!

Clive,
excuse me for saying, but if you are having such a monumental problem with seating in venues and parking maybe you should go to butlins or somewhere a little more spacious like the yorkshire moors!
I worked for Haven for some years, and at Head office, and much as I agree that the Rank years were a lot better from an entertainment point of view, Haven are still good family holidays.
Don't get me wrong, I could whinge and bawl about things on Haven parks since Bourne took over, but I would like to think, that if I didn't like it I would take my family elsewhere.
p.s. we've never had problems parking in between caravans, maybe my car isn't as wide as yours?
