It was axed by ITV in 2004. Sky have been showing repeats for ages. I emailed and asked ITV if they had plans to make a new series and they said no, so unless Sky do a new one I think its gone forever.

I wasnt that keen on Redcoats as most of the reds the focussed on annoyed me (although I liked Abbie). I would rather see a fly on the wall about the running of the camp featuring redcoats, cleaners, the cast, catering, management etc it would prob only last 1 series but I think it would be interesting to see the characters in all departments.

The programme as ive said in past postings is nothing but a joke, and a complete insult to proper redcoats and also the art of redcoating !!!

I'd love to see another series but I can't see anyone making one. I still watch the old ones even though they are from a few years ago.

Yes, Barry Island Fan, I also liked Abbie on the programme. very down to earth and as she has said on another post, I dont think she was an insult to proper redcoats. would like to see a programme or fly on the wall on butlins as a whole not just focusing on the redcoats.

I think it would be a very interesting concept to do a fly-on-the-wall documentary about the different job roles at butlins although I don't know if some of the crew i worked with in centre stage would totally enjoy being filmed whilst trying to work. Some of the show turn-arounds can be very tight and having a film crew there may hinder the process and catch some fraying tempers. It would show what a well oiled machine looks like in full full flow which would complement the stage manager. (Got to say that Jimmy Griffin had our show changes down to an art!!, Well done mate) :)

depends on how you feel about proper redcoating i suppose, which seems to of gone a miss nowadays, most appear to be completely ignorant
