Half board is no longer on offer at Caistor this year. Have they knocked down the half board apartments/chalets?

Not sure if the chalets have been knocked down, but we booked half-board for May spring-bank week. I posted earlier about this..to quote..

'Oh, by the way, we've booked up to go again next May (same Spring Bank week) after a gap of 20 years...many happy returns! A bit miffed though..when we booked it was as full board (buffet breakfast/dinner) Then yesterday we got a letter to say they don't do full board all of a sudden. We've now been offered ?10 voucher a day each to get food at one of the cafes on the camp, or a full refund, or transfer to a full board camp in Wales...I don't think so, and honestly, what is ?10 gonna get you for breakfast AND dinner at camp prices?? And all this after we've already paid up!'

Not sure what is in the old half board resturant but it is still there with the play room upstairs and the old room next to it (not sure what it was used for) is used for staff training.
Next door is now the mash and barrel it quite a flash looking bar/resturant we had our staff party in there last year and the food is nice, it seems expensive but for a holiday camp the prices aren't too bad and the food is better than before it was refurbished.
Most chalets are still there I think, I do think they plan to knock them down which is a good idea as they are manky.

Haven sites seem to be cutting down on all f/b h/b breaks and only consentraiting them to butlins, i tend to get quotes between them both and so far looking through Haven i cant find anywere on the internet site map that is doing f/b h/b plus the Haven sites are always a bit more expensive WHY!!

I think it is because they are far superior, In the eyes of the owners. On a half board holiday at Caister the food was much better than that I had at Butlins Skeggy. The accomodation at Caister was appauling mind you. The half board option at caister has now gone
