Hello. I was just wondering if anyone has been to either (or both) of the camps at Hayling Island recently (Sinah Warren and Lakeside).
I was thinking of going somewhere different for a weekend and was looking at Warner's website. I think I'd looked before but was put off by the prices. It still doesn't seem that cheap.
Anyway, just wondering if anyone has been recently as I was trying to find some reviews of Sinah Warren in particular on the web. Came across a handful but many seemed to say the place was full of OAPs. Whilst I have no objection to OAPs at all and am happy to holiday amongst them, some people had made the place sound like a nursing home! Not quite what I had in mind for a special weekend away.
Any reviews welcome. Thanks.

Hi, my wife went with some friends late last year on an 80's weekend, and the joke was whether or not that was the average age of the guest ! Everyone she went with was around the 40 mark and they were the youngest by a mile. The entertainment was a bit slow, limahl, line dancing, bowls etc.
The food and accomodation was fine, but its a different kind of break, depends what you like really. When she came home, she said next ime she goes it will be to Butlins for a real weekender!
Any more questions, i will go ask,,,,

Thanks Mikeeee - that confirms what I'd feared!! I think I'll try somewhere else. It's a shame as it would have been quite convenient to get to for a weekend break. Although I like Butlins, I also like to try different places now and again for a change of scenery. Hence I had wondered about Warners at Hayling a few times.

Not sure on the Hayling Island hotels, but the one at Gunton Hall is great. And the one at Thoresby Hall in Nottinghamshire is brilliant, also has a spa at that one and other bits and pieces.
Cheers,
:) Sal

I watched the Wife Swap programme this evening!
Saw him at Butlins a few years ago on an 80s weekend too ... He hardly sang then, it was the guitarist who did all the singing .. Alexander just sweated and panted his way around the stage, dabbing himself with a big towel! I was gutted as I used to think he was great!
On the same weekend we saw Nathan Moore (Brother Beyond) and he was covered in love bits ... classy!

Oh dear that does not sound like my kind of place!!! I like to mix with younger people, I might be getting on a bit but I can still party as good as the 25 year olds!!!! I think if you let your wife go to butlins on a party weekend, you will be not allowed to go with you mates again!!!!!!! x

The group I belong to went to have a look at Lakeside, lovely camp but the prices are scary and we would be near one another chalet wise. They all dress for dinner there which put is off a bit as we don't normally do that. I have been to Sinah Warren but i didn't like it much. Nope I'll stick to Hemsby.
