Hi Guys, first post so sorry if this has been covered somewhere.

Booked the above for myself and wife and looking forward to seeing headliners Five Star and Go West particularly, but have seen they are also headlining Bognor the same weekend ?, is this normal, are the groups performing at both venues over the three nights, just looking forward to clarification.

We've booked a silver room which should be adequate for us, just hope it's clean having read a few worrying reviews.

Any WIFI available, what beers and ales available.

Thanks in advance and look forward to seeing some of you there and having a great well earned break :)

Hi Gaz, glad to see your posting and hope you enjoy the site.

You will love the 80s weekend, and your accommodation is great dont worry about, I have never had any dirty accommodation and I go quite a lot!!!!

Yea It is normal for the acts to be playing at a couple of the camps on the same weekend, they just dont appear on the same night!!!

I really prefer the 70s music, but like some of the 80s stuff and I do like Go west so looking forward to them, be warned though the best groups are usually saved for the sunday night, as Butlins know a lot of people leave the camp to go home on a sunday so they keep the best ones until then to try to get people to stay!!! ( I think sundays are the best days any way, the afternoons are brilliant) There is always groups on in the day or a comic Sid Dennis if you have not seen him before and your not easily offened you will love him, he is really good, but I have seen him dozens of times now and the act does not really change.

As for the beers, not sure about the bottled ones, but in the skyline you can drink anything, the shop does a roaring trade, but people go along with full crates of there own and nothing is ever said. I know know they only sell VK drinks in the bars not WKD but the prices are out of this world!!! ( get the wife a big handbag lol)

You will have to join the forum gang for a drink at least once during your stay, there is a thread about it, and I am sure Kev or Kath will be posting up times and places for meeting, off the top of my head would say Hot shots friday afternoon, as that place will be rocking from 2 on wards on the friday full on 80s tunes.

Hope to see you there!! and enjoy!! xx

I used to love Go West ... they did the Sunday night the first adult weekender I did and I didn't stay - learnt my lesson there ... gutted! You're right Deb, they do put great acts on the Sunday night!
I've got Five Star and ABC at Bognor this year ... OH! and Limahl a.g.a.i.n

Could well be they do the Friday night at one and the Saturday night at another and vice versa so each night has a big name? That's not unusual for Butlins - I think acts like The Mighty Jambo do a similar thing and tour all three in the space of a week?
