The Rank group.
It became the yellow and Orange Haven ,after it bought up a number of smaller holiday firms and amalgamated with Mecca Leisure Holidays (AKA Warners). That happened around 1988/89.
Bourne leisure actually owned a number of the parks that made up Haven many moons ago.The whole thing kind of went full circle.

Do you know what the logo for Haven was before the orange and yellow one?

We owned at Weymouth Bay before have took over, it was a small park with gas powered caravans and Seaview at the time was wayy off in the distance! we sold in 1990 when Wey Bay and seaview were just over the fence from each although they were still seperate companies still but both had more than trebbled in size, in 2000 Wey Bay & Seaview are one now ajoined.

To be correct -

Prior to 1986, Haven was owned as part of English China Clays, based in Truro. Some of the parks were previously owned by Guiness

The Haven Parks were merged with Rank's Leisure Holidays, and the enlarged group took on the Haven name.

The Haven Parks were merged with Rank's Leisure Holidays, and the enlarged group took on the Haven name.

Some of the former Haven sites were formerly owned by Ladbrokes as well, ie, Silver Sands, Caister Beach etc.

The parks that were owned by Guiness were actually owned by the Grand Metropolitan Hotels Ltd, who in turn bought the Mecca Group in 1970. Apart from buying loads of other companies, then in 1981 it bought Warner Holidays and Intercontinental Hotels Corporation.

Again after loads of buying and selling other companies, The Company merged with Guinness plc in 1997 to form Diageo.

1990: Rank acquires Mecca Leisure Group.

In 1996 New Holiday company Parkworld Holidays created to manage Butlins and Haven.

Then Bourne leisure acquires Rank Holidays division on 20th October 2000.
