This photo, taken in October 2010, shows the site where four rows of chalets were cleared to make room for the Wave Hotel. The chalets had to be cleared as part of the planning conditions for the Ocean Hotel to ensure that the total capacity of the camp was not increased. The Ocean Hotel opened in August 2009 and construction of the Wave Hotel did not begin until 2011. In the interim this space was used to provide extra car parking for guests.
