Miss Elegance Competition 1981

Thanks to Jayne Beaumont for supplying the photo. Jayne had this to say, "I just stumbled upon your site while browsing the internet and I have enjoyed looking at old photos from the 1980's. They brought back a lot of happy memories from when I went on holiday with my mum and dad. In 1981, during Royal Wedding Week (when Charles and Diana married), I took part in the Miss Elegance competition and won 1st prize. I remember my mum making sure I looked immaculate. I wore a lemon sleeveless dress, white ankle socks, black patent shoes and a lemon ribbon in my hair. I will always remember that."
